Larvikite is an igneous black mainly Norwegian stone made entirely of feldspar. Much of the world's larkivite is thought to be over 250 million years old! The name Larvikite comes from where it was originally found in Larvik, Norway. The shimmering effect of Larvikite shows only when it is cut correctly and at the right angle which makes it a stone often cut by sought-out artisans.
